A Bit About Us

Humanity Builders was founded in response to the Ukrainian Refugee crisis. Paul Ritacco decided to assist on the border as soon as the war in Ukraine began. He enlisted the help of Patrick Long and Joseph Hogan, who had worked with him in Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick's office. Together with Joe's wife, Janita, they travelled to Poland at their own expense. During recent visits they have continued to monitor needs and address those they see as significant. While housing needs remain critical, Humanity Builders is actively addressing the urgent need for education and mental health support for children. We are working to ensure that displaced children don’t just find stability — they gain the opportunity to learn, grow, and rebuild their futures with confidence and hope.

Identifying issues is easy. Actually doing something about them is harder. Humanity Builders is our 501c3 organization that is coordinating the raising of funds to assist in housing, medical care, education, and mental health needs for those in need across the globe.
